Front Row Educational Services was founded by Michele Oakes, MA Education. Michele is currently a Literacy Peer Coach and Staff Developer with the San Diego Unified School District. With over a decade of experience teaching Kindergarten and First grade, Michele now works with K-5 teachers to strengthen their literacy teaching and to improve student achievement. Michele is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, with a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. With her strong literacy background, effective one-on-one coaching and excellent facilitation skills, Michele has been recruited to present at numerous district literacy inservices.

Michele wrote and copyrighted Preparing Your Child For Kindergarten in order to help parents ready children for this very important first year of school, something often overlooked by educators when planning for Kindergarten curriculum. Many of our students do not have the benefit of preschool and parents are not commonly educated about the challenges their children will face in their first school years. Information on what parents can do during their childrens' formative years will make the transition to the formal learning environment easier for children, parents and educators as well. According to Michele, "My goal is that Preparing Your Child For Kindergarten will offer parents much needed support in sending their kids to school ready to learn, achieve, and excel."
